GTC4Lusso
Cavallino Rosso St. Louis is proud to present this exceptional 1971 Ferrari Dino 246 GT, chassis no. 01532. This historically significant example is the 206th of only 1,010 M-series Dinos produced and is steeped in Italian heritage and provenance. Delivered new to the famed Crepaldi Automobili - Italy's most prominent Ferrari dealer at the time - this Dino left the factory in a striking and rare shade of *Verde Germoglio (20-G-265)*. This bold hue debuted with the M-series and was applied to only *69 total units*, making this car an especially rare find. With its *Certificate of Origin dated February 1971*, the car was first registered in Milan by its original owner, Mrs. Annamaria Zitelli, in March of that year. It would remain under the guidance of Crepaldi Automobili through various ownership changes until 1975. In 1975, the Dino underwent notable changes including a color change to classic Rosso and the installation of optional *Daytona-style seats*a feature introduced in 1972. Following the changes, the car was sold to Mrs. Dicorato, who owned it for a decade. By the late 1980s, the Dino had taken part in the *Raduno Ferrari Club by Crepaldi* at Monza, reflecting its continued presence in Italys enthusiast circles. It later passed into the hands of several private collectors, including esteemed lawyer and collector Lucio Maria Basaglia of Lecco. When the car was consigned to dealer Luzzago in the early 2000s, it failed to meet its auction reserve, at which point Luzzago acquired it under pre-agreed terms. In *2013*, the Pavia license plate was officially de-registered for export. Then, in *2021*, the car underwent an exhaustive and expertly documented *full restoration* by some of Italys most respected Ferrari specialists in the Modena-Maranello region. Its original Verde Germoglio color was rediscovered and lovingly reapplied. Restoration work was carried out by: Coachwork: *Tappezzeria Luppi Modena* tappezzerialuppi.com Engine: *Gozzoli Maranello* autotrasformazionigozzoli.com Electrical: *Elletrauto Gatti William, Modena* gattiwilliam.it Photos and Video documenting every step of the restoration are available upon request and will included with the purchase, along with a comprehensive file of historical ownership, *original books, tools, and provenance*. The engine pulls strongly, and the signature gated manual transmission shifts with classic Ferrari precision. The car is also featured in *Matthias Bartzs Dino Compendium* It was exported to the United States in 2023, where it has been part of a private collection before arriving at Official Ferrari Dealer Cavallino Rosso St. Louis.
